When I was younger, I played on Minecraft (Bedrock edition). One day I watched a live streamer who went by the name of Yeg play on a Minecraft server he had created called Yegs SMP. In this context SMP stands for Survival Multi-Player. I had seen people play on SMPs before but what made this one different is that it had a special program which allowed Bedrock edition players to play with Java edition players. I joined the server soon after that and I learned to play like a player on Java edition. It was incredible seeing all the interactions between players who played the same game but different ways.
I had joined the server during the end of its third season. Because of this acquiring the normal Minecraft items such as diamond tools and armor were pretty easy. In addition, the server had released cool new events where players could fight boss monsters in a snowy landscape. I participated and made a few friends while I grew rich in the game. Soon after that the server had to close down to prepare for its fourth season. Players were given the option to transfer their special event items by a deadline. I didn’t realize what was being offered and so I missed out on a great opportunity to save some of the work I had accomplished.
